| Currently an independent consultant in Houston, Texas, I was employed for 7 years at the Materials Engineering and Corrosion Control Division, Consulting Services Department, Saudi Aramco. Prior to that, I was for 10 years at the Bound Brook (NJ) R&D Department of Union Carbide Corporation and for a while at the Metals and Ceramics Division of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Beyond that, I have had an extensive academic and industrial experience with nearly 50% of my career in each arena, distributed somewhat among 3 continents, namely, North America, Africa, and Asia (Middle East) in that order.
